The Dark Zone A Galahad Book Dom Testa Books

I originally purchased The Comet's Curse for my 12 year old son, but then found myself enjoying the series. At 47, I purchased the next 2 in the series immediately after finishing the first. Then finished The Dark Zone in just two sessions. Now that we are both 4 books into the series, in general we have come to the same conclusion...given the speed at which each book moves us along in the journey it will likely take us another dozen or more books for us to reach Galahads final destination. While I am enjoying the series, this is a little much for a series follower to invest in time and perhaps for some...money.

The author only includes a single major event per title, while seemingly wasting page after page of text rehashing each of the main characters biographies and family history. I was more than satisfied with the character groundwork in the first title...which extended into the second. But in titles 3 and 4, the character groundwork continues...without adding significant value to the story. The characters have been well defined, let us get on with the story. 2 or 3 major events per title would be nice to move the series along at Galahad speed.

Having been a little critical of the first 4 titles, I can say that I am enjoying the Galahad series. And will continue to read them as they are released. My 12 year old son, who is a big Alex Ryder series fan, loves this series...and can't wait for the next release later this year. Now that my 10 year old son is reading the first title, I had to purchase another Kindle for the boys, so that I can get some quality time back with my own Kindle. For young and teen readers with any interest in space and science...I highly recommend. They will likely be hooked within the first few chapters...as 3 out of 4 in our household have become. And even if you are a not-so-young-of-a-reader...send a copy to your Kindle and give it a try...you might just be surprised.

The Dark Zone A Galahad Book Dom Testa Books Reviews

Good lots of mystery creative ideas for aliens. Oxygen weakness and dark matter for power and wormhole. A great book
Still New. awesome. really like
The book was received quickly and in great shape.

A great read in a series. I do object to the fact that the writer of the series should do a better job of editing the time sequence of the book.
An excellent read! I was enveloped by the second page. With humor, exhilarating action and lots of sarcasm, it's impossible to not give this 5 stars
Not bad,not bad
I'm not sure teenagers would so clearly but a good story and sad too. But good job and now on to the next one.
Gift for my son.
This book is part of a teen series that is just great for us adults also. I have enjoyed the whole series so far and am looking forward to other forthcoming books. An easy read with a meaty plot each time and lots of unexpected twists. Give yourself a sci-fi treat and read them all or even just one, you won't be disappointed ! I did buy this from .Com and am glad I did.
